Whole blood platelet function

New method for the quantitative determination of platelet function

T-TAS® (Total Thrombus Formation Analysis System) is an automated, microchip-based flow chamber system for the quantitative analysis of thrombus formation that uses physiological blood flow conditions.

T-TAS® mimics in vivo thrombus formation in an ex vivo system. The trigger of the platelet aggregation is shear stress and collagen, with which the microcapillaries of the PL chip are coated.

There are two variants available:

  • T-TAS® 01 is optimized for everyday clinical use, equipped with two measurement channels and animated user interface.
  • T-TAS® PLUS was specially developed for the research sector and is characterized by additional functions. The T-TAS PLUS can be used to adjust the shear rate and monitor and record thrombus formation via a built-in CCD camera.
